International Business Gateway development delayed

David D Murray hits out at the Scottish Government’s decision to call in Edinburgh gateway project

City councillors approved the International  Business Gateway project in West Edinburgh on 30 May after a three-year planing process and more than 20 years of project development.  However ministers want further scrutiny of the £500 million scheme due to concerns over the impact the development would have on transport.

David D Murray, Managing Director of Murray Capital – one of the International Business Gateway consortium members – said: “This a a deeply disappointing decision by Scottish Government that is putting jobs, investment and economic growth at risk.  The council has already undertaken an exhaustive three-year planning process on a project we have been developing for over 20 years.”
